Do we need both cameras?

No. Many fleets start with a road-facing camera only. An in-cab camera adds evidence for safety programmes but brings stronger privacy obligations towards drivers.

Does video work with GPS tracking?

Yes. Footage is tied to the vehicle's location and time, so you can find the moment you need.

What are our obligations to drivers?

Under Zambia's Data Protection Act, 2021, camera footage of drivers is personal data. You need a documented purpose, a written notice to drivers, a retention period and access controls.
