Weak or no signal
The unit keeps recording location while signal is weak or lost, and uploads the stored trip once it reconnects. No gaps in the trip record.
Cross-border trips
Tracking continues when vehicles cross into Zimbabwe, the DRC, Tanzania and Mozambique, so transit routes stay visible end to end.
Hidden, hardwired units
Units are hardwired and concealed by the Lusaka team, not plug-in devices, so they are hard to find or disconnect. Fitting takes 30 minutes to 1 hour per vehicle.
Depot accounts
Each depot manager can have a login limited to their own vehicles, alerts and reports, while head office sees the whole fleet.

We build governed systems, so we set these out before you buy rather than after.
- Vehicle location linked to a driver is personal data under Zambia's Data Protection Act, 2021.
- Tell drivers in writing that vehicles are tracked, why, and who can see the data.
- Decide how long trip history is kept, and restrict access to the people who need it.

Is Hapis Nav available in Zambia?
Yes. Hapis Nav is live and is sold, installed and supported in Zambia by HAPIS Tech Solutions Limited from our office in Lusaka.
Can I see my vehicles on my phone?
Yes. Hapis Nav has a web dashboard and a mobile app showing the same live positions, history and alerts.
What do you need from us for a quote?
The number and type of vehicles, where they operate and what you most want to control, for example fuel, routes or unauthorised use.
Do we need to tell our drivers?
Yes. Tracking a vehicle that a named person drives processes that person's data. Give drivers a written notice and set a retention period. We can help you prepare both.
How long does installation take per vehicle?
Between 30 minutes and 1 hour, depending on the type of vehicle. We schedule installations around your working hours to keep vehicles on the road.
Can our dispatchers track vehicles in remote areas with poor mobile signal?
Yes. The unit keeps recording location while signal is weak or lost and uploads the stored trip once it reconnects. Dispatchers see the last known position in the meantime, and the full route fills in automatically.
Can we set up separate accounts for different depot managers?
Yes. Each depot manager can have a login showing only their depot's vehicles, alerts and reports, while head office sees the whole fleet. We set up the accounts and access levels with you at installation.
